صندوق سرمایهگذاری ارزشی، بهدنبال سرمایهگذاری در سهامی است که بهنظر میرسد بر مبنای ویژگیهای بنیادی، کمتر از ارزش ذاتی خود ارزشگذاری شدهاند. سرمایهگذاری ارزشی اغلب در مقابل سرمایهگذاری رشد قرار میگیرد که بر شرکتهای نوظهور با چشمانداز رشد بالا، تمرکز دارند.
فرض پشت راهبرد سرمایهگذاری ارزشی این است که وقتی بازار به ارزش واقعی این سهام پی ببرد، قیمت سهام افزایش مییابد و سرمایهگذار صندوق سرمایهگذاری ارزشی از این افزایش، سود خواهد برد.

The premise behind a value investing strategy is that once the market realizes the true value of these stocks, the share price will increase and the value fund investor will gain from this increase.
