اعتبار امید، اعتبار مالیاتی غیر قابل استرداد است که به مالیات دهندگان آمریکایی واجد شرایط ارائه میشود. دانشجویان واجد شرایطی میتوانند این اعتبار را مطالبه کنند که هنوز تحصیلات تکمیلی خود را به پایان نرساندهاند. اعتبار امید و سایر اعتبارات آموزشی مادامالعمر برای تشویق به آموزش عالی وضع شدند و معیاری برای بازپرداخت شهریه برای والدینی (دانش آموزان) ارائه کردند که شهریه و هزینههای کالج را پرداخت میکنند.
Hope Credit
The Hope Credit, or the Hope Scholarship Tax Credit, is a nonrefundable education tax credit offered to eligible American taxpayers. Qualifying students who have yet to complete four years of postsecondary education can claim this tax credit. The Hope and other lifetime learning credits were enacted to encourage higher education and provide a measure of tuition reimbursement for parents (or students) who are paying college tuition and fees.
