دست نگه دارید، اصطلاحی برگرفته از واژه "HOLD" (به معنی دست نگه دار) با غلط املایی است که در زمینه خرید و نگهداشتن بیتکوین و سایر ارزهای دیجیتال بهکار میرود. همچنین، بهطور معمول در میان سرمایهگذاران ارزهای دیجیتال به معنای "برای جان عزیز، صبر کن" است. این اصطلاح در سال 2013 از یک پست برخط در انجمن Bitcointalk گرفته شد که در آن اشتباه تایپی ظاهر شد. در سال 2013 و در آن زمان، قیمت بیتکوین بیثبات بود و در ابتدای دسامبر به بیش از 950 دلار رسید درحالیکه در آوریل همان سال، کمی بیش از 130 دلار بود. آن پوستر تبلیغاتی مردم را تشویق به عدم فروش و دست نگهداشتن میکرد (Holding).
HODL
HODL is a term derived from a misspelling of "hold," in the context of buying and holding Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It's also commonly come to stand for "hold on for dear life" among crypto investors. The term originated from a 2013 online post to the Bitcointalk forum where the typo appeared. The price of Bitcoin in 2013 was volatile at the time, surging to over $950 at the beginning of December, 2013, up from just over $130 in April of the same year. The poster encouraged people not to sell and that they were "hodling"
