شاخص قیمت تولید کننده (PPI)
شاخص قیمت تولید کننده، متوسط تغییر در طول زمان قیمتهایی را اندازه میگیرد که تولیدکنندگان داخلی برای تولید خود دریافت میکنند. معیاری از تورم در سطح عمدهفروشی است که از هزاران شاخص اندازهگیری قیمتهای تولید کننده براساس صنعت و طبقه محصول گردآوری شده است. این شاخص بهصورت ماهانه توسط اداره آمار کار ایالاتمتحده منتشر میشود.
شاخص قیمت تولید کننده با شاخص قیمت مصرف کننده متفاوت است که تغییرات قیمت کالاها و خدمات پرداختشده توسط مصرف کنندگان را اندازهگیری میکند.
Producer Price Index (PPI)
The Producer Price Index (PPI) measures the average change over time in the prices domestic producers receive for their output. It is a measure of inflation at the wholesale level that is compiled from thousands of indexes measuring producer prices by industry and product category. The index is published monthly by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
The PPI is different from the consumer price index (CPI), which measures the changes in the price of goods and services paid by consumers.
