انحصار، یک ساختار بازاری است که در آن فروشنده یا تولید کننده منفرد، موقعیت غالب در یک صنعت یا بخش را به خود اختصاص میدهد. انحصارها در اقتصادهای بازار آزاد منع میشوند زیرا جلوی رقابت را میگیرند و جایگزینها را برای مصرف کنندگان محدود میکنند.
