وضع مالیات (توقیف اموال)
وضع مالیات، عبارت از توقیف قانونی اموال برای پرداخت بدهی معوق است. اگر کسی مالیات خود را نپردازد، سازمان مالیاتی کشوری (IRS) ایالاتمتحده میتواند به توقیف اظهارنامه مالیاتی یا اموال او اقدام کند. همچنین مقامهای مالیاتی میتوانند سایر داراییها مانند حسابهای بانکی، درآمد اجاره یا حسابهای بازنشستگی را توقیف کنند.
Levy
A levy is the legal seizure of property to satisfy an outstanding debt. If you fail to pay your taxes, the Internal Revenue Service may respond by levying your tax return or property. Tax authorities can also levy other assets, such as bank accounts, rental income, or retirement accounts.
