قانون فرصتهای بازنشستگی کسب شده برای قهرمانان، قانون مصوب سال 2006 است که بهکارکنان نظامی اجازه میدهد حسابهای بازنشستگی فردی خود را با حقوق دریافتی از ارتش تامین کنند. این یک معافیت مالیاتی برای کسانی است که در مناطق جنگی خدمت کردهاند. براساس این قانون، غرامتهای پرداخت شده مربوط به جنگ که از مالیات معاف است، از ژانویه 2004 میتواند برای تامین مالی این حسابها استفاده شود.

The Heroes Earned Retirement Opportunities Act (HERO) is a 2006 law that allows military personnel to fund their individual retirement accounts (IRAs) with combat pay. It is a tax break designed for those who have served in combat zones. Under the law, combat-related compensation paid since January 2004, which is tax-free, can be used to fund IRAs.
