قانون گلس– استیگال
قانون گلس-استیگال، قانونی است که در پی سقوط بازار سهام در سال 1929 و در طی ورشکستگی بانکهای تجاری در ایالاتمتحده و رکود بزرگ، با ارائه لایحهای از سوی دو نفر از اعضای کنگره در سال 1933، تصویب شد و امروزه بهعنوان قانون گلس استیگال شناخته میشود. این قانون فعالیتهای سرمایهگذاری و بانکهای تجاری (سنتی) را از هم تفکیک کرد.
Glass-Steagall Act
In 1933, in the wake of the 1929 stock market crash and during a nationwide commercial bank failure and the Great Depression, two members of Congress introduced an act, known today as the Glass-Steagall Act (GSA), that would separate investment and commercial banking activities.
